Meet „the fastest motorcycle in the world“

Lightning will present in a couple of days „the fastest motorcycle in the world“. But this is not the only interesting thing in this story. LS-218 is an electric bike.

Lighting says that LS-218 has more horsepower, more torque, more speed and more performance than any other production motorcycle in the market.

The California-based company says LS-218 can break land speed records and be a winner on the circuit. Still, it will ride as a 250 cc commuter. The IPM electric engine has 10.500 rpm and can produce more than 200 horsepower.

At highway speed, LS-218 can go further 100 miles per charge with the standard battery package, which could be charge at public fast charging stations in less than 30 minutes. With a normal socket you’ll need about 120 minutes.

Lightning LS-218 is a street legal version of the bike that won several AMA and FIM races, including the Pikes Peak 2013.

The bike has also got some personalization options: fully programmable Android display, carbon fiber swingarm and frame, titanium fasteners or custom graphic wrap and seating.
