Yamaha launched a new MT-09 version – The Street Tracker. It has an „urban tracker“ design, with carbon and aluminium elements.
„The Dark Side of the track“ – this is the tagline of the new MT-09 model. The Street Tracker has aluminium number plates, two-tone flat seat and knee grips. Another aluminium element is the headlight cowling.
Yamaha MT-09 Street Tracker also has wider foot pegs that improve speed cornering, according to Yamaha. Another new elements are the carbon front fender and the billet handlebar tensioner. The Japanese company says that this „urban tracker“ pays homage to the authentic flat track heroes of yesterday with a modern take.

Beyond the aesthetics, there are no differences. The MT-09 Street Tracker has the same three cylinder engine capable of 115 hp @ 10.000 rpm and 87.5 Nm @ 8.500 rpm. Which means this is a motorcycle ready for the city playground.
Street Tracker is not the only special edition of the MT-09 naked bike. Last autumn, in Milan, Yamaha revealed MT-09 Street Rally.
