Colin Edwards announced his retirement at the end of this MotoGP season. Yamaha made a touching tribute movie.
His nickname was Tornado Texas. It’s been 22 years since he’s a professional racer. Colin Edwards (40) lived his best races in World Superbike, where he was a champion in 2000 and 2002. He didn’t manage to achieve the same results in MotoGP, where, in 10 seasons, he climbed on the podium for 12 times. Still, he is a legend. One of the most respected riders in motorcycle racing.
Yamaha knows it very well, and made a special tribute movie dedicated to Colin Edwards:
„I want to spend more time with my wife and children and, of course, to thank Yamaha and everyone who supported me“ said Edwards, announcing his retirement.
