Kawasaki Versys 650 2015. Details and photo gallery

Kawasaki Versys 650 2015 comes with an important facelift. But besides the design, there are just a few new features regarding the middleweight street-oriented adventure.

We already knew that Kawasaki was set to unveil the Versys 650 and Versys 1000 at Intermot 2014. And there were speculations that Kawasaki will develop a bigger engine for the small Versys. But they were completely wrong, as the Japanese had put on the bike the same 649 cc twin-cylinder.

On the other hand, Kawasaki says that the engine of the new Versys 650 boosts more power – 69 hp at 8.5000 rpm (5 hp more) and a torque of 64 NM (4 NM more). Kawasaki Versys 650 should be better at medium range rpm (3.000-6.000) with an increased performance at high revs due to a new exhaust, according to the press release.

So, the big news is the new design. Kawasaki Versys 650 2015 has a completely new front end which gives the bike a more aggressive stance, with that new twin headlight which resembles all the Kawasaki sport machines design theme.

As for the rest of the technical details, the new Versys has a completely adjustable fork (separated functions for each tube) and 17 inches wheels.

Kawasaki Verys 650 2015 has also got a larger-volume fuel tank (21 litres) and wider, more confortable handlebar which gives an upright position. Also, the footpegs are repositioned (lowered and pushed ahead) and should give a more relaxed riding position. Another comfort feature is the adjustable wind screen (60 mm range).
