Tito Rabat is the Moto2 world champion after getting the third place in Sepang, Malaysia. The leader of the race was Maverick Vinales, while Mika Kallio finished second.
Rabat made a good start from pole and was the leader in the first half of the race, but he kept a calm pace, just to assure him the necessary points to win the Moto2 Championship. So he was overtaken by first by Mika Kallio, then by Maverick Vinales, which won the race after a very interesting battle with Kallio.
This was first world champion title for Esteve Rabat, with 13 podiums, 7 wins and 326 points this win. Rabat entered the Moto3 in 2005 for a singular race. The Moto2 debut was in 2011, when Rabat got the 10th position and for three years competes alongside Kalex team.
