Norton Dominator SS was unveiled during last weekend at Donington Hall, London. It’s a street version of the Domiracer and will have two different versions.
There will be a Dominator SS top version, which will cost 24.500 british pounds and a standard version which will be cheaper but not cheap: 19.950 pounds.
Norton Dominator SS has the parallel twin engine borrowed from Norton Comando (961 cc) which is capable of 80 hp. It also has a fine-touch handmade element, the aluminium fuel tank. The fabrication process lasts three days. The fuel tank will be available only on the Dominator SS, or could be purchased as an option for 1.700 pounds.
There will be only 50 Dominator SS built but the „normal“ version will be sold in many more units.
The motorcycle also has a little carbon fiber windshield, spoked wheels, tubular steel frame and a noisy sport exhaust. The swinging arm comes looks like a piece of art and comes from the Domiracer. Dominator and Dominator SS will also have Ohlins suspensions.
Norton is one of the oldest brands in motorcycle industry. It was founded in Birmingham, UK, 1898 and it builds motorcycles since 1902. The first Dominator was built in 1947 as a competitor to Triumph Speed Triple.
