Indian motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield are about to reveal three new motorcycles by 2016. But big news doesn’t stop here as Royal Enfield are about to open a new plant in Leicestershire-United Kingdom.
Known best for the Bullet 500, the oldest continuously produced model in the world, Royal Enfield will open a new plant right in the country where all began. These are excellent news for the Enfield fans out there. We don’t know if the new UK factory will have a complete assembly line or if only smaller motorcycle parts will be produced here. This however is a part of a bigger plan as the demands for the Indian made bikes are higher and higher.
New models on the horizon
Also, perhaps the biggest news from Royal Enfield is that three completely new motorcycles are about to be launched in the near future. It is believed that a new approach will be taken as two new engines will power the new models. A 410cc single cylinder and a bigger 750cc inline twin. But hold your horses now here. As a last ace pulled out from the sleeve, Pierre Terblanche will be involved in the new designs. Terblanche is best known for his involvement the design of several Ducati and Confederate models. And we all know the appeal of last two brands. We will definitely keep an eye on Royal Enfield’s moves in the next period of time.
