New Moto Guzzi V7 Racer Special Edition for the US market

Verde Legnano is the designation for the Moto Guzzi V7 Racer that will be launched only in the Unites States this spring. Piaggio stated that only a limited number of 50 motorcycles from the Verde Legnano Special Edition will be available.

The Moto Guzzi V7 Racer Verde Legnano will pay tribute to the 1971 Telaio Rosso Moto Guzzi V7 Sport that was initially designed by Lino Tonti. The 71 version was intended to be the first bike weighing less than 200 kg, that had a 5 gear speed box and that could reach a speed estimated at around 120 mph.

The design of the 2015 model resembles with the classic 1971 V7 with its green tank and eye catching red frame. The downside of the Verde Legnano is that it is not based on the V7 II that has some welcomed additions like a 6 speed gearbox and lower foot pegs among others. Not that the previous model was a bad bike. Not at all! One addition though will be the introduction of a new wet flywheel. The Moto Guzzi V7 Special Edition Verde Legnano will be available starting March in and will cost $10,999
