Dovizioso gets the first place in the front row with its new Ducati GP15 at Losail, Qatar.
Andrea Dovizioso was faster than Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez during Qatar qualifiers and obtained the first pole pole position of 2015 MotoGP season.
Moreover, Andrea Ianone (Dovizioso’s team mate) and Yonny Hernandez (Pramac Racing – Ducati powered team) got fourth and fifth places on the starting grid. So, for the first time in many years, Ducati is really fast and competitive.
„I can now say that the feeling of the bike is so good that we can think about battling with the fastest riders“, says Dovizioso.
Jorge Lorenzo managed to get only the sixth position and Valentino Rossi is on eight, after Bradley Smith. The Suzuki riders are in the middle of the grid (11 and 13), while the Aprilia riders got only 21 (Alvaro Bautista) and 25 (Marco Melandri).
