KTM is going to recall a batch from the 2015 690 Enduro R models. The affected models are built between November 1st 2015 and February 8, 2015. The defect issue states the following:
“The rear brake line from the ABS pressure modulator to the foot brake cylinder may have been damaged during the assembly process of be subject to subsequent damage caused by vibration and contact with the spring clamp of the crank case ventilation hose. The affected components are located on the right side at the center of the motorcycle, just above the clutch cover.”
It seems 408 motorcycles were affected by the issue and although the numbers are quite low, it is recommended that all bikes should be inspected as soon as possible. One of the symptoms is the loss of rear breaking pressure. Also the problem can be spotted within a regular service check.
