The oldest motorcycle manufacturer in the world, Royal Enfield is to reveal a new line of motorcycles in the near future. As a proof to this, an Indian fan and reader of the motor.vikatan.com has captured what appears to be the first twin cylinder from Royal Enfield.
A few weeks back Royal Enfield registered the ,, Himalayan” name and rumors started to talk about a scrambler or an adventure touring bike.
As we can see from the photo, the Himalayan has a different approach from the classic Bullet. It now has a mono-shock for the back suspension and a different frame. Design wise, the motorcycle has some scrambler elements. Front wheel seems to be a spoked 19 inch while the back seems to be a 17 inch. The Himalayan might be equipped with a 400cc that theoretically could deliver 40Nm and around 35bhp.
More details could emerge this Autumn an the Delhi Auto Expo show.
