Honda Africa Twin 2016 was, officially, revealed. It is equipped with optional DCT, Showa suspension system, traction control and switchable ABS. The price for Europe is 12.100 euros, depending on market.
Honda Africa Twin 2016 will cost 12.100 euros as a base model, without DCT, traction control, and switchable ABS. It has the same price as a V-Strom 1000, but it’s cheaper than R 1200 GS and KTM Adventure, the class leaders.

Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) optimized for adventure riding
The major different thing that Africa Twin has compared to other adventure bikes is it’s DCT transmission system which allows you (or the bike) to switch through gears without a manual clutch. It has a standard – manual – mode through which the pilot can change the gears by pushing some buttons located on the left side of the handlebar and two automatic modes:
D – the economic/confort mode
S – sport mode, which includes three different setups – S1, S2, S3
G – a switch positioned on the handlebar which puts the DCT in enduro mode. It also has an incline sensor which sets the transmission according to the accilivity/declivity.
The DCT and ABS are available as an option, so the price of the new Africa Twin will be higher. The traction control (Honda Selectable Torque Control System) is also available only on DCT models. The new Africa Twin will have three different color themes.
