Ducati will unveil nine new models at EICMA including the new Ducati Monster 1200R.
Ducati’s motorcycle range will feature nine new models in 2016. The news comes from a press release where Ducati’s CEO, Claudio Domenicali, confirms the fact that the Italian company plans to reveal nine new motorcycles including the new Ducati Monster 1200R at EICMA in November. This is Ducati’s biggest attack on the market ever to have been launched in the history of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer.
Furthermore, Domenicali says two bikes from nine will take Ducati into segments in which they are currently not present. Most likely, one of these models will be a maxi scooter taking into account the fact that many motorcycle brands already have models in this segment. There has been a lot of speculation during recent years on this subject, so a Ducati maxi scooter may not be such a SF idea. Another bike that is highly likely to be included in the nine new models is a new Ducati Diavel. The new Diavel will be more cruiser oriented as it is shown in the spy photos we saw a month ago.
Ducati’s market attack plans perhaps come after a very profitable year for the Italian brand. In the first six months of 2015, Ducati has a growth of 22% and a total of 32,600 bikes delivered. By the end of the year, the target is to break the barrier of 50,000 bikes sold.
