Since 2017 the legendary series from Triumph Bonneville increases with two models. It will be called Street Cup, respectively Bonneville T100 and have twin engine of 900 cc.
Triumph has submitted documentation for the approval of new models that uses the Street Twin engine. This is a propeller with parallel twin engine, liquid cooled, 900 cc, which generates 55 horsepower. This category relies more on torque devices than on pure power.
T100 will not be a big surprise because it was already surprised tests on streets near the Triumph factory. It looks very much like its brother Bonneville T120, only that instead of 1200 cc engine will be a smaller one. Interestingly, the 900 cc engine block is made so that the exterior is almost identical to the T120. The notable difference with braking link: T100 has a single front disc brake, while the T120 has two. Moreover, all models with 900 cc engine will face a single disc, while those with twin-cylinder of 1200cc, will have two.
About other model, Triumph Street Cup, there is not much yet. The name suggests that will be based on a Twin Street and will be inclined to sporty. It could also be a cafe racer style of Thruxton and near Thruxton R.
Bonneville series with the parallel engine, is in the Triumph production for 57 years. The launch of new models is forced by the implementation of Euro4 standards mandatory for motorcycle early next year.
